It took my uncle over 5 years to clean out and sell my grandmother's house.


At one point he forgot to pay the electric bill and they shut off the power. No sump pump meant the basement flooded. The basement door was left open and the entire 1st floor of the house was covered in mold. All of the furniture was ruined and the drywall had to be ripped out. That one mistake ended up costing thousands.

So yeah, get it sorted out as quickly as possible.
